Estudies on ecological aspects of different populations of hunting ungulates, mainly red deer, wild boar, roe deer and fallow deer.
Genetic analysis: inbreeding and genetic variability
Consanguinity and genetic variability analysis in wild ungulate populations, mainly in red deer, are carried out.
DNA Test for homologation of hunting trophies
Techniques based on DNA studies to approve hunting trophies are avalilable.
Studies on certification of hunting quality
Studies of big game estates are carried out to determine if the hunting quality criteria are met.
Studies of the wildlife heath status
Studies are carried out in wildlife on different infectious diseases of interest due to their zoonotic aspect or the possibility of transmission to domestic livestock, such as tuberculosis and paratuberculosis, diseases caused by enterobacteria, brucellosis, viral diseases.
