The 1st Iberian Workshop and the 2nd National Workshop on Animal Tuberculosis Research, was held in Cáceres (Spain) on April 4 and 5, and had more than 100 Spanish and Portuguese participants, including representatives of national and regional administrations.
This event was organized by the PATIN Group of the University of Extremadura (included within GRINREF), the Consejería de Medio Ambiente y Rural, Políticas Agrarias y Territorio of Extremadura and the Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación of Spain.
This workshop had as main objective the creation of synergies and collaborations between research groups, administrations and enterprises for the control and eradication of animal tuberculosis.
The program of this event includes different talks of representatives of the administration, international experts and each research group
In addition, several round tables were hold on the development and application of new diagnostic techniques, the improvement of current ones, the design of biosecurity measures, the nutritional and sanitary management on farms and finances to avoid the spread of diseases, the way to look for new rules that facilitate their application and the success of all these measures.
As a novelty, in this edition of 2019, to be up to date on the research published by the experts in animal tuberculosis in Spain and Portugal, the bibliography on scientific publications in animal tuberculosis with different formats to be used in bibliographic managers is available:
